Well, the crusty old snow is mostly gone, and now the dog log bombs appear. I thought I got most of them, but it just seems that my shoes find all of the ones that I missed. I can't be inside when it is nice, and it is in the 50ies to 60ies during the day so I go out and wander around like a bear after hibernation. Today I dug up part of my garden; putting the shovel to soil is renewing and welcome and gives me a reason to be outside. It is much too early to plant anything, but not too early to dream. The snowdrops are living up to their name and the buds on the lilac and forsythia are ready to pop. Spring is here, although I know that there will be late frosts and snowfalls to squish the tulips. But I love to hear the birds singing and see the greening of the earth.
I'm not being as successful with my garden- but I'm trying! I also cleaned up more dog poop the other day than I ever thought possible. I also wanted to do a detailed blog post specifically about the amount of poop I clean up but decided against it :-)
