Flowers. Just the word makes the most dyspeptic among us smile. Roses are the perennial favorite, but Irises, lilies, larkspur, lilacs, orchids, daisies, tulips all have their season, and give us equal pleasure whether in a garden or in a vase. These are all from my garden or greenhouse, I love going out to see what new bloom has opened from the many I have planted, and some that have been here for the 28 years we have lived in this house.
