We just got back from a week in PR. Doug had to go for a conference, so Ciel and I tagged along. The weather was warm, wet and humid. It is a beautiful place, but a sad place, too. There are simply too many people there. There are practically no wild areas left, and the native animals are few and far between. Finding anywhere to see the native birds was always a challenge. The great divide between rich and poor is evident everywhere. I couldn't help feel like this is the future of the world if we don't deal with our over population problem. I am lucky to live where I do, with wide open spaces and abundant wild areas.
