I don't make cookies very often because I find them to be way too tempting to eat, but really boring to make. I made some today though, and I will always make Christmas cookies because I enjoy the yearly ritual of cutting out the different shapes and decorating them with different colored icings. I have done this since I was a little kid, with my mom and sisters. Once, we saw some different cookie cutters in a magazine and decided to order them through the mail. We got together the change, I think it was .85 cents, cut holes in cardboard, taped the coins in the holes and put the whole thing in an envelope and mailed it. I don't remember which ones they were, but I still have some of those old cutters. I have made them with my kids since they were born, and we always have fun.
I love your cookies! They always turn out so pretty with the many colors of icing you are willing to make. And, if you really don't want to be tempted to eat them, feel free to send some to me! :-)
