There is nothing quite like the moonless sky in Teasdale, Utah. Tonight I could easily pick out Andromeda with my naked eyes, as the Milky Way spread across the whole expanse. This is one of the last truly dark areas in the USA, a place where little else obscures the darkness. The familiar constellations are all there, the planets can be easily recognized. And the evening temperatures in summer are just about perfect, telescopes and binoculars do not have a tough time adjusting.
I tried to point out a few stars to the dogs but they thought I was just teasing. What do dogs see? Stars or just the shapes moving under them?
